We love a challenge here at No.9 and what better challenge than to make a beautiful purchased wedding gown from a local boutique, strapless to sleeves.
A requirement of the church was covered shoulders, but Karen had fallen in love with the gown and was just hoping someone could transform it to the dress of her dreams. She was referred to us from fabulous photographer, Jason Tey, so Karen made her appointment and we went from there.
Tulle pleating to the top of the gown (above) was unpicked and stretched to form the neckline. Tulle sleeves were added and then matching lace pinned then appliqued to the top and sleeves. The lace was then hand beaded to match the gown.
We cannot wait to see Karen’s images from Jason Tey Photography, but until then a little preview of Karen wearing her gown. Congratulations to both you and your husband!
