This beautiful lace, Belinda, normally comes in ivory only, but when our client fell in love but wanted white, the team at Platinum Bridal Fabrics made it especially for us then adding it to their range. That’s service!
Belinda is a beautiful corded lace with two sizes of floral motifs, shaded to give a lustrous embroidery, that run through the body. We cut the motifs from the tulle and hand appliqued them over the entire bodice of the gown. Extra motifs were added below the waistline and cascading onto the tulle skirt.
To add a subtle hint of detail, motifs were hand beaded and placed through the center of the bodice.
The dramatic low back was finished with hand appliqued motifs to help form the beautiful shape. Motifs were also used to proved a small cap shoulder.
The skirt itself was white tulle over satin and as the bride didn’t want a full skirt, a single layer of dress net edged in white lace was added to give just the right amount of body.
The gown was finished with 18 tiny satin covered buttons.
